Player Management Categories in Parent Portal​

1. Merged Players​

Definition: Combines duplicate player records into a single unique player.

Purpose:

  • Remove duplicates
  • Reassociate all data (metrics, stats) from old contact/player to the main player

2. Shared Players​

Definition: Multiple parents/guardians have access to the same player.

Purpose:

  • Support co-parents, grandparents, guardians

3. Unclaimed Players​

Definition: Placeholder players requiring parent confirmation.

Purpose:

  • Team admin added player to roster
  • Used parent email while parent creation
  • System created placeholder player
  • Parent must confirm ownership

4. Confirmed Players / Claimed Players / Your Players​

Definition: Fully verified players linked to a parent account.

Purpose:

  • Active, ready for roster and stats tracking

5. Unconfirmed Players​

Definition: Contact records from the old system that need to be linked to player profiles

Purpose:

  • Team Admin creates a new player record when there was already an existing player
  • The new player will show up on the parent portal and the parent can choose to link that player to the correct player that already exists which will get rid of the duplicate player

Types of events​

6. Combine​

The Combine is a player skills evaluation event where players are tested and ranked using measurable metrics.


7. All-Star / All-American​

Invitation-only special events for top-performing players (exclusive events that you cannot sign up for on your own; you must be personally invited by the organizers based on performance).


8. Grinch Games​

A special holiday-season tournament and showcase event.


9. All-State Finals​

An event where they invite top players from different teams in the same state.


10. Tournaments​

A competitive multi-team event with scheduling, registration, fees, and results tracking

11. Rosters​

A roster is a list of all players officially associated with a team for a season, tournament, or league.


12. Tournament Admins​

Tournament Admins are actually just the office staff.


13. Tournament Directors​

The people who handle all of the aspects of running the tournament, collecting payment from team admins, choosing what age groups are playing, promoting the event, scheduling, etc.


14. MVP Player (Most Valuable Player)​

An award given when player hits multiple home runs and plays great defense in a tournament/a top player from a team that wins a major championship event


15. Rapsodo​

Rapsodo is a sports technology system used to track and analyze player performance using advanced cameras and radar.
